EECS150 Spring 2006 Final Check-off UC Berkeley 1 UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA AT BERKELEY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCE FINAL CHECK-OFF SPRING 2006 All project files are due 10 minutes after the beginning of your assigned lab section (xx:10) on the week of 4/17 to 4/21 for early check-off or 4/23 to 4/28 for regular check-off. Submit only Verilog design files and the version of SPI.edn that you are using. Do not submit any other files (i.e. testbenches, Project Navigator file, and other black boxes). Your TA should be able to create a new project, add submitted files, and create a BIT file by using only the submitted files. To find your submission folder, click the “checkin” shortcut on the desktop and find the folder that corresponds to your group name. Within this folder: 1. Create a folder named “regular” and copy all the files for the required portion of the project to this folder. a. For early check-off, you are required to implement the original checkpoint 4 protocol, for which you will receive 5% extra credit for the successful implementation. b. For regular check-off, you are required to implement either the original checkpoint 4 protocol or the simplified version. c. The required project must be playable against the released demo solutions. d. Although you’ll receive 5% extra credit if you choose to implement the original protocol, submit the files that implement the protocol in the “regular” folder. 2. If you did extra credit, create a folder named “extra” and copy all the files for the extra credit portion of the project to this folder. a. This version only needs to be playable against another copy of your extra credit project. b. Create a file named “readme.txt” with a brief description of each of your extra credit features and how to run it. Your TA will make a copy of your submission folder at the time your project is due; further changes made to code in the submission folder will not be considered for grading. Your TA will immediately synthesize all projects. If a BIT file cannot be successfully created from your submitted files, you have until 1 hour after the beginning of your assigned lab (10:00A, 12:00P, or 6:00P depending on the lab) to fix mistakes. Your TA will not check the functionality of your project until final check-off on Friday, only that a BIT file can be created. You are not eligible for early check-off unless all work is your own, except for SPI.edn and provided Verilog files (Register.v, CharROM.v, etc.). That is, you are not allowed to use the checkpoint 1, 2, or 3 black boxes included with Gametester. Single groups are allowed to submit the black boxes that were provided to single groups.EECS150 Spring 2006 Final Check-off UC Berkeley 2 For regular check-off, you are allowed to submit the provided checkpoint 1, 2, or 3 black boxes, but you will be penalized one-third of the check-off grade for that particular checkpoint. Of the maximum credit of 30 points for final check-off, you will lose 2, 3, or 6 points for turning in the checkpoint 1, 2, or 3 black boxes, respectively. Grading will take place on Friday, 4/21, for early final check-off and Friday, 4/28 for regular final check-off. Sign up for a time slot on the posted sign-up sheets. Both partners MUST be present. You will lose your slot if either of you are late. Fill in the sheet below before arriving for check-off. AI TOURNAMENT EXTRA CREDIT The AI extra credit tournament will take place from 3-4P on Friday, 4/28. Files for the tournament are due at 12P that day. Submitted files will only be used for the tournament and will not affect check-off. The AI of participating groups will compete in multiple rounds. Extra credit will be awarded to the winning group; details will be released later.EECS150 Spring 2006 Final Check-off UC Berkeley 3 FINAL CHECK-OFF Regular Points Extra Credit Points Total Points TA Initial Date / 30 / 20 4 / / 06Man Hours LUT % Used Block RAM % Used Register % Used NAME SID SECTION Group Name: _________________________ Check-off type (circle one): regular early Deductions: Extra Credit (fill in description before arriving for check-off): Description Points 4/19/2006 David T.
