multiple choice and short answer Half the points will come from the multiple choice and the other half will come from the short answer The best three out of four exam grades will be used in calculating the final exam grade This allows you to drop an exam grade if for whatever reason you did not perform as well as you could have The cumulative final however is required and must be passed If it is not passed it will be included as one of the three exams making up the final grade and the next lowest exam score will be dropped To pass the final you must receive a score of at least 35pt out of 50pt or 70 correct In order to learn and understand the material fully it is important to review and revisit it multiple times The final exam is a chance to synthesize and test your own knowledge My hope is that when you are taking the final at the end of the course you will be surprised to realize how much you have learned The final exam will be held during the scheduled final exam period on Friday July 9th from 2 5pm in the normal lecture classroom Writing Assignments There will be 5 short writing assignments 2 pages each covering a variety of topics including ethnographic
