Write your name here: ______________________________________ This assignment is due Thursday November 3 On the diagram, draw arrows on the plates to indicate their relative motion. Label pertinent features of the areas on diagram. The term that describes the type of plate boundary is written on the lines below the diagram areas. Use the space below the term names to describe the nature of magma and crust in each area, the method of formation of the magma and the features of that type of plate boundary. Transform boundary is labeled for you: do not include its features. Concentrate your efforts on the other two major types of boundaries of lithosphere plates. _DIVERGENT__ __CONVERGENT___ Transform BoundaryOn the diagram, write the names of the seven major plates…one appears twice, due to the spherical nature of Earth and the flat map, so you will write one name twice. Be sure you are paying attention to the continental masses and ocean basins, not copying general locations of names from a map with a different perspective. On the diagram, use symbols to show if the plate boundary is convergent or divergent. Use double heavy lines parallel and close to the boundary for divergent ones, and a zig-zag pattern crossing the boundary, continuing along it where there is convergence. Do not indicate transform boundaries, but draw arrows showing how the plates are moving together or apart at the convergent or divergent boundaries you
