The smallest and youngest is Menkaure, middle is Khafre (limestone cap), Khufu is the oldest and largest (in that order)c. Khufu is 510 feet high; each side is 775 feet and the base covers 13 acresi. Consists of 2 million granite blocks, each approximately weighing 2 tonsii. Had airshafiii. Took 100,000 slaves 20 years to build1. Paid in food; very organized (workers were treated well)2. It was an honor to work on the pyramid for the pharoh d. Pyramids represented strength and power of pharohs i. Suggest formation of society- pharaoh at top, base of many people e.
