Eve, like many women of the time period, is drawn as having a fuller figurei. God, Holy Ghost, and Jesus are all along the same line on the central axis j. Italy is becoming the center of the art world in Renaissance Europei. Many artists are sent to Italy to learnii. Artists are becoming more worldly- they are travelling and exchanging ideask. Virtues:i. left corner- knights and judges (shows fortitude and justice)ii. right corner- pilgrims and Hermits (show prudence and temperance)l. Deesis- panel with three figuresi. Usually it is Christ flanked by the Virgin Mary and John the Baptistii. Here, the central figure is God, all powerful in his divine majestym. God’s crown is one the pope would weari. At his feet is an earthly crown (what a king would wear) ii. Scepter is made out of crystaln. Scene from Revelations i. Adoration of the Lamb, or The Mass of All the Saints ii. The lamb is on the alter (symbolic of Christ and sacrifice)1. Lamb is stabbed in side, and blood pours out into the chaliceiii. Church officials in the background on the leftiv. Old Testament Prophets in the foreground on the leftv. Female Saints/Martyrs in the background on the rightvi. Male Saints and Martyrs in the foreground on the rightvii. Holy Ghost- in the background viii. Seems that the artist understands linear
