Title: Disabled Patient Positioning SystemNames:Hani Bou Reslan - Communicator Snoop aka. “Tom Pearce” - BSACJoel Rotroff - Weblord Ben Moga - LeaderClient: Professor Frank FronczakDates: 3/31 – 4/6Problem Statement:A platform device is desired that enables wheelchair users access to health care procedures. The device should have two-degrees of freedom (rotation of 360 degrees, andvertical translation from 3”-9” above the floor). This device should be motorized, transportable, easy to use, and safe.Restatement of Team Goals:We, as a team, are dedicated to completing the DPPS insofar as our funding allows. We are concentrating on the transportation and mounting system of the DPPS. The competition is fierce; however, we remain unwavering in our attempt to accommodate thewheelchair bound for health care procedures.Individual Goals:Snoop = Construction + DesignJoel = Market Research + Rotational Motor + FinancingHani = Stress Analysis + ConstructionBen = Getting a Patent + Design + ConstructionSummary of Accomplishments:We finished the wheel assembly section on the transport design, only the attachment of the assembly remains. The long hinge section that allows the wheelchair to roll onto the platform but doubles as a 2” safety rail is attached. Joel has set-up a meeting with a University Hospital representative for market possibilities. Statement of Team Goals:The transport assembly will be attached while the ramp and miscellaneous pieces will be ordered out by next Tuesday. Moga is leaving for 10 days starting April 14 but in that time the ramp will be attached and a housing assembly for the hydraulics/battery will be constructed as well.Project Schedule: Date Goals Activities12 February Schoof’s Competition Do our best, get slammed, learn a lot5 March Mid-semester Presentation12 March Report / Lab Books due Oh Yeah!!!30 April Poster / Final Prototype due No problemo5 May Written report Do really goodDifficulties:Hani, always Hani touching stuff he’s not supposed to and talking without permission.Activities:Team = 1Hani = 1.5Snoop = 1Joel = 2.5Ben = 6Totals:Hani = 73Snoop = 108Joel = 69Moga =
