action and persevere until meaningful change occurs PERSONALITY AND NATIONAL CULTURE Factors appear in almost all cross cultural studies Differs based on factors of country like social framework individualistic No common personality types for a given country VALUES basic convictions that a specific mode of conduct or end state of existence is personally or socially preferable to an opposite
