Due Week 4 Day 4 Much like individuals organizations also exist within the community How does an organization s responsibility within a community differ from the individual s Your answer should be between 100 150 words On a conceptual basis there is not much difference at all the difference is in the scale An individual is a smaller piece of the community and therefore has a smaller responsibility They both have the responsibility to clean up after themselves The application of responsibilities like those are vastly different between individuals and organizations but the concept is the same For an individual it is just picking up your trash and doing some recycling For an organization it can mean creating a social initiative to clean up the community An organization is responsible for all the individuals that it employs so if they are littering on the grounds of the organization the organization has to clean it up and clean the surrounding areas If the organization chooses not to the public will view them poorly and the social pressure will surely force them to Response 2 Organizations have an increased scope of responsibility within the community compared to the individual An individual s scope of responsibility rests with personal conduct How you as an individual interact with your community is all you need to control or be worried about It is not my personal job to judge your level of community responsibility it is not your job to judge mine An individual is responsible for his or her own actions Public perception of individual efforts or shortfalls go largely un noticed Organizations on the other hand have a broader scope of responsibility and scrutiny The organization not only must not only be concerned with their level of community responsibility but they must monitor the individuals who work for them and the other organizations in their sectors involvement as well The organization must be concerned with its employees because every one of them represents the organization All it takes is one employee to tarnish the organizations reputation of positive community responsibility through misguided public action The organization must be concerned with other organizations within the same sector for similar reasons one organizations misguided responsibility can reflect poorly on the entire sector Public perception of organizational efforts or shortfalls are potential headlines
