Due Week 4 Day 5 Identify an organization with which you are familiar What are some factors in this organization that might affect the strategies they take in developing their socially responsible efforts What are some of these efforts Your answer should be between 100 150 words The company I work for Green Street Properties which is a subsidiary of Jamestown Properties is involved with several different social communities and organizations Some factors that might affect the strategies we take in developing our socially responsible efforts might be taking on too many projects at once or being apart of too many communities Overwhelming ourselves with multiple projects can be challenging and take our focus off different aspects of our community We want to equalize our organization so that we are supporting those groups properly and in a professional manner Being under staffed can cause a problem as well If this were to occur we would certainly not be able to provide adequate support to our communities Some of our efforts are Georgia Organics The Atlanta Beltline LEED and ULI Atlanta just to name a few Response 2 One organization I am familiar with is the Red Cross This organization helps various people and communities with emergencies regardless if they emerge from a disaster or not The strategy of the Red Cross can change and is dependent on the changing needs of both a community and an individual Some factors may include disasters like hurricanes or hurricanes Usually when an organization like the Red Cross is needed they turn to the community for help but what happens when an entire community is affected like through a natural disaster This is a factor that affects the strategies of the Red Cross as they have to turn to other areas for manpower and financial resources The economy is another factor that affects the Red Cross s strategy in developing their socially responsible efforts The current economic situation has many individuals watching what they spend and some have had to cut costs in the area of donating both time and money The red Cross has to rethink its strategies for ways to continue to receive finances as well as ensuring enough volunteers when the need arises
