Ex- a student's goal is to say please and thank you, so throughout the day you remind him to say please and thank you. Looking for natural opportunities for this learning/teaching to occur. b. (Tier 1 is something we will do all the time with all of the kids). The above example may not work with tier 1 in a class with over 20 kids. c. This is used often in language, because everyone is learning to communicate. (ex- repeating in correct grammar), lots with young children, and lots with children with autismII. Differentiated instructiona. Tier 1 level of intervention: Charts, graphs, word bank, explaining things in a differentway or repeating things back with different words, writing down the steps for the assignment on the board. b.Discussion: Mr. Washington is implementing differentiated instruction in his very diverse reading class. Alice, a student with a LD, is having trouble with areading assignment. Which of these would NOT be acceptable?A.Letting her choose between two books -- this would allow the student to be more interested in the reading, a good thingsThese notes represent a detailed interpretation of the professor’s lecture. GradeBuddy is best used as a supplement to your own notes, not as a substitute.B. Giving her a book on a lower reading level -- if you have a child on a lower reading level, it may be on their IEP to let them read in a lower reading level.
