Also worksheets due.The final test is on last third AND comprehensiveThere will be online study quizzes to helpyou prepare for the tests.These will NOT count toward your grade.There will be NO EXTRA CREDIT otherthan our in-class, end-of-class quizzesIn addition to the 3 tests, grades will be based on:10 online Worksheets, graded immediately(totaling 25% of your grade)4 Question sheets on the movies we watch(totaling 8% of your grade)The first two tests each count 16.5% of your grade;The final test is 33%So the 3 tests together count 66% of your gradeYou can easily ace 33% of your grade:1. Pay attention and answer the questions givenduring each movie (and don’t skip class andmiss any movie)2. Print out the online Worksheet questions,then look up the answers for each question-- there is no reason you shouldn’t get perfectscores on each worksheet. . . . then completeeach ON TIME by the hour/day deadline.Foolish students have dropped one ormore grades in the past because they:Didn’t complete all the online Worksheets (!!!)Turned in worksheets lateSkipped class on the day of a movieWorksheet DUE DATES are posted in thesyllabus, plus listed on p. 2 of syllabusMovie show dates are also listed!Taking notes in class:Take notes in class!PowerPoints will be postedunder DOCUMENTS in Blackboard: you mightwant to print 3-to-a-page and bring to class, thentake notes on your printoutLater that day, review the notes you took.Here’s another tip for getting a good grade:Print out the vocabulary list NOWAs we go along in class, write in thedefinitions.Then you will have a list of definitions to study.Knowing the vocabulary allows you toace a large part of each test!WorksheetsDue dates are listed on syllabus.They go off-line at noon on the due date.It is up to you to complete each Worksheeton time.Be sure to print a copy of your Worksheetat the time that you submit, so you will havea copy to study from.Check the Gradebook (on Blackboard)after you submit to make sure you properlysubmitted.
