Week 3 DQ4 Should the Internet be regulated If you were in charge how would you regulate it In my opinion internet should not be regulated The internet has a lot of various sites and many ideas and data comes from every site The facts are very beneficial to a lot of people for the reason that internet data is just a click away and it is also very reliable and accurate Although sometimes internet information is inaccurate and erroneous it is always available and accessible Some people abuse the internet by making it a stalking material source of pornography and defrauding people While there are individuals who take advantage to the usefulness of the internet majority still utilize internet as a source of rightful information and for economic improvement If I were to regulate the policies regarding internet usage I will block certain sites that are not suitable to the general public and impose heavy taxes on sites that promote adult materials Also I will enable a security code for each household to be used by various internet providers so that children in the family cannot access those prohibited websites Therefore strict implementation of the regulation procedures will help the government to minimize crimes involving the use of internet and will help parents protect their children against obscene materials
