like It may also be for the purpose of broadcasting publicly which includes educational purposes Mass media is evident and useful most especially during the period of elections National programming also serves to major part of the population Hence the latter is most commonly used by politicians most especially during election season so as to reach out to their constituents and voters What are the like and mass media which includes music movies television or radio broadcasting It has been found that the newest type of electronic mass media is no les sthan the internet but Rodman 2006 says important because it opens the eyes of the audience be it television viewers radio listeners or magazine readers to see what is happening not only inside the country they live in but also around the world Certain events are of so much importance though happened outside their own state that everyone must be aware of The right of the people to be informed are embodied in the different forms of mass issues and trends in the media today Upon observance of the media at present several significant issues and trends should be remarked One of it is the abundance and rise of the internet which caters to majority if not all of the people in different ways may it be in advertising marketing communicating and the like Such a medium is so accessible and fast that the mass media cannot keep up However it must be stated that benefits always come with disadvantages Because of its accessibility Rodman s view is that Controversial issues within this industry include the impact of images such as those in fashion magazines that stress extreme thinness or those in skin magazines that encourage young men to treat women as sexual objects truth and accuracy of the facts presented editorial independence was directly affected by a book magazine or newspaper A personal experience that I can remember in which I have become affected of a type of media is that upon reading a certain magazine when I was in a doctor s office which was particularly for body building I have chanced upon weirdly correlating it with children both of which I am not fond of I am of the position that such magazines should not
