Week 2 DQ DQ1 What events toward the end of the 19th century enabled general interest magazines to become mass circulation magazines Next explain why the impact of images is such major controversy in the magazine industry today A certain event in the 19th century which enabled the general interest of magazines to become mass circulated is when there became a mass production of those containing products and the use of brand names The publishers came to a realization that magazines have the potential to become a tool too advertising and commercializing different products Upon modernization through time so did the equipments used and people were able to save more time with the help of technology Because of this they read different magazines to use up their time That is the time magazines became so popular that the need for it to be improved followed Because of the use of technology particularly digital manipulation such as editing with the use of computers airbrushing and the like became contentious as it gives a view that those in magazines are fraud Some are undeniably edited losing the feeling of such photos as real Editing sometimes result to dishonesty which is not approved by most readers The sense of innocence has been lost because of the enhancement made and in such a way becomes a tampering of the original photos All of these results to a manipulation of its readers
