Your assignment is to write a formal proposal (to a funding agency or to a client) on an environmentally related topic. You will need to research the topic and present a convincing and persuasive proposal. Your proposal may recommend the implementation of an environmental process for use in production, the purchase of a product for use by your client, the design of a product for future sales, the sale of this product to clients or another company, etc. You may describe a problem and present a solution, or you may recommend that your client take advantage of an opportunity. Whatever path you choose, you need to establish the need for your recommendation and present clear steps for implementing your idea. NOTE: This is not a research paper. While you will need to do research to support your arguments, the point of this assignment is to write a proposal.Guidelines for Formal Environmental Proposal- Formal report aimed at your client (a CEO of a high-tech company, a mayor, governor, a small start up company, etc.)- Well researched (citing at least 2-4 references per person including two or more sources obtained through library research including electronic databases), - Convincing and persuasive, - Approximately 4 to 6 pages per person NOT INCLUDING VISUALS. (12 point font, 1-inch margins, double spaced). Pages must be numbered.- At least one visual per person (chart, table, photo, drawing, etc.) with proper labeling and citation.Suggested Elements and SectionsYour Proposal should have, at minimum, the following elements/sections, but you may add additional sections if you need them.Letter of Transmittal (see ENGR 100w web site if you don’t know how to do this)Title Page Include title of proposal, name of client, names of proposal team members, date of submittal (feel free to use your company logo to create an attractive title page)Executive Summary (this goes before Table of Contents)Briefly summarize (no more than a page) the purpose of and main points presented in the proposal (what is being proposed, why it should be done, the key outcomes, how much it willcost, and how long it will take, when will it start). Give their general qualifications (e.g. geologist, lawyer, electrical engineer, etc.).
