Madeline Felz Psychology Crawford 15 February 2016 Are you a skeptic I use extraordinary claims in my life Any extraordinary claim is when the claim itself is so strong that it needs just as strong evidence Examples of this might be bigfoot ghosts and UFOs My personal experience is going to be about afterlife In August my grandmother passed away from Alzheimer s disease She was the most caring sweet and extraordinary lady I know to date She was a master gardener and cared for everything around her and loved everything about nature She spent most of her time outside and with the nature About a month before she passed she gave some sunflower seeds to me to plant in my dorm room I am not a gardener just to be clear and for the longest time all I had was a pot of dirt The morning of August 27th my mom called me to tell me she had passed away and it was the hardest morning day of my life I walked into my living room so I didn t bother my sleeping roommates When I walked into the living room all my sunflowers had not only sprouted form the dirt but also bloomed Whether you agree or not I believe that it was sign from my grandma saying that everything was going to be okay she was there and that she loved me This is an extraordinary claim to be saying my grandma is sending signs from the afterlife If any other person were getting theses signs they probably wouldn t think of anything of it I think this would all depend on the person there claim would have to be significant to them and while to others for it to be true it would need some very significant evidence proving the claim is true In my case there is no way to prove that my grandma is sending me signs
