Table of blood types, antigens, and isoagglutinins; Isoagglutinins are naturally occurring IgM antibodies which are present in human serum and are specific for surface antigens on human red blood cells. They represent the source of typing serum used in this experiment. They also comprise a threat in blood transfusions if the patient is not correctly matched. Considering the effect of recipient isoagglutinins, predict the outcome of blood transfusion where a type A, AB, O or B individual (listed on the right columns) receives packed red blood cells from donors listed in the left column: Type A recipient Will transfusion be rejected?
