Critical Reading and Applied Writing in Spanish. Prerequisite: Spanish 2002 or the equivalent. This course emphasizes skill development and refinement in the areas of critical reading and writing in Spanish. Designed to give students extensive experience in reading and writing in Spanish, the course focuses on the relationship between writing and reading, and on ways to improve one through the other. VI. Course Objectives:1-Understand writing as communication2-Understand writing as process3-Understand reading as intrinsic to the writing process4-Identify specific types of written texts5-Identify how Hispanic cultures are expressed through literary and non-literary texts 6-Learn how to use KSU On-line Career Portfolio to archive writing samples electronically to later usethem as part of the student’s senior portfolioVII.
