Able to scan save and transfer selected segments of information from books, documents, and other types of written material. The Electronic highlighter which is portable, compact easily taken anywhere can take the store up to 128 mb of information and can easily transfer it to any computer system for easy access and organization.AaronThe ClaimThe electronic highlighter is similar to that as the technology of a copy machine or computer based scanner but vastly more compacted and easy to use. The Highlighter uses ultraviolet light to scan any ink/lead based text and stores it in a text file document on it's imbedded USV stick. After turned on the highlighter is used similar to that of a colored marker press and hold the scan button while you graze the tip of the Electronic highlighter across the surface of the desired information you wish to scan, one line at a time. The print is then scanned and saved within the electronic highlighter itself and the information is saved in the order it was scanned even if you jump from line to line on a single page. After scanning is completed you can hook up the end of the electronic highlighter to any computers USB port and download the scanned material to any computer in the form of a file ready text document for easy storage. This compact scanner aids in creating organized and less time consuming work of taking notes and saving bits of important information, with out the bulk of jotting down notes. All the convenient of a scanner, copier, and notebook in the palm of your hand.DucDesignLight weightDurableComfortAffordableUser FriendlyDucDucMaterialsABS Plastic – for durability and lightweightLCD Display – digitally shows information (memory, battery life, signal, title)USB port – file transfer between PC and PenUltraviolet Laser – use for capturing data (font sizes between 8-14)SD memory Card – built in 128MB memoryDucSimilar ProductsPatents (17)3918028 3947817 4158194 4797544 4817185 4947261 5012349 5023922 5083218 5142161 5175422 5301243 5430558 5506394 5574804 5595445 5638466ChrisStart up CostsStart up- $1,170,000Wholesale Price- $45.00Mark-up- 100%Retail Price- $90.00ChrisFirst Year NumbersSales - 10,000 units @ $90 per unitProfit - $900,000Expenses:Marketing Cost - $200,000Advertising Cost - $500,000Manufacturing Cost - $450,000 ($45 per unit for 10,000 units)Inventory Expense - $20,000Total Expenses - $1,170,000Total Revenue After One Year: - $270,000IvonetSummary of Invention Name of invention: Highlighter AdvanceThe electronic highlighter scans the information at the touch of a button, saves it in its memory of 128 MB, and is accessible by plug-n-play via the computer.It’s a convenient and reliable device.Anticipated Cost is $45 per unitProjected Profits $90 per unitIvonetMarketing StrategyTarget Market Target Country: United StatesTarget Population: Ages from 18-60 years old.
