Executive SummaryThe Target Capture Company is a five member partnership that will provide shooterenthusiasts with a means of shooting in a much more efficient manner than ever before inthe history of sharp shooting. The Target Capture Company’s main product, TargetCapture System (Target Capture System), will be the system that will be marketed toprovide cutting edge technology to shooter enthusiasts. The versatility, maneuverability,and the accuracy of the system will be the basis of providing a very viable product. TheTarget Capture Company will also provide consulting services in the fields of circuitrydesign, wireless communication, and programming. Target MarketThe Target Capture Company is a young company with a new idea in an established fieldof interest. The interest field of rifle accuracy has been around since before the 19thcentury. The dedication that many associations, military units, and individuals give to theskill of shooting accurately is the assurance that the Target Capture System is verymarketable. There are over 2000 rifle associations which sponsor competitions that holdto the customary means of scoring. As shooters prepare for these competitions, they willwant to use their time wisely. The same process occurs in the military.Practice time is invaluable; therefore, the use of the Target Capture System only makessense. According to the 2001 National Survey of Fishing, Hunting, and Wildlife-Associated Recreation, wildlife recreation participants spent a total of $108 billion in2001. The sales of the Target Capture System is predicted to increase according to thesame survey findings which states that hunting expenditures increased 29% from 1991 to2001 [1].Nature of BusinessThe Target Capture Company will provide the cutting edge technology for a graphicalrepresentation of a shooter’s target. The Target Capture System will display the targetand bullet strike position to the shooter. With the use of this system, shooters will be ableto eliminate unproductive time while sighting in rifles. A conveniently located targetdisplay will be viewable from the shooters location. Accessibility of target informationwill allow the shooter to remain in their position for extended periods.Basic StrategiesThe production and modifications of the Target Capture System will be based upon thedemand of the consumers. The Target Capture Company will originally set out to createthe reputation of efficiency and timeliness with local customers. Through the productionof the first orders, experience for each division of the Target Capture Company will havebeen gained, and the Target Capture Company will be ready to increase the marketthrough advertising in popular sharp shooting and hunting magazines and internetwebsites. The Target Capture Company will rely on these advertisements and word ofmouth for the increase of demand. As the demand increases, the Target Capture Companywill be able to purchase parts at bulk rates; therefore, increase in profits and employment 3Target Capture CompanyBusiness Planwill occur. Strategy TreeFinancial AnalysisAccording to the estimated revenue, accrued by the Target Capture Company, thecompany will make a profit in its second year. By the third year, profits will reachapproximately $600,000 as shown in Graph 1. The cost may vary according to thenumber of personnel within the Target Capture Company. As the Target CaptureCompany increases sells, more employees will be hired accordingly. Graph 1.
