Executive Summary The Target Capture Company is a five member partnership that will provide shooter enthusiasts with a means of shooting in a much more efficient manner than ever before in the history of sharp shooting. The Target Capture Company’s main product, Target Capture System (Target Capture System), will be the system that will be marketed to provide cutting edge technology to shooter enthusiasts. The versatility, maneuverability, and the accuracy of the system will be the basis of providing a very viable product. The Target Capture Company will also provide consulting services in the fields of circuitry design, wireless communication, and programming. Target Market The Target Capture Company is a young company with a new idea in an established field of interest. The interest field of rifle accuracy has been around since before the 19th century. The dedication that many associations, military units, and individuals give to the skill of shooting accurately is the assurance that the Target Capture System is very marketable. There are over 2000 rifle associations which sponsor competitions that hold to the customary means of scoring. As shooters prepare for these competitions, they will want to use their time wisely. The same process occurs in the military. Practice time is invaluable; therefore, the use of the Target Capture System only makes sense. According to the 2001 National Survey of Fishing, Hunting, and Wildlife-Associated Recreation, wildlife recreation participants spent a total of $108 billion in 2001. The sales of the Target Capture System is predicted to increase according to the same survey findings which states that hunting expenditures increased 29% from 1991 to 2001 [1]. Nature of Business The Target Capture Company will provide the cutting edge technology for a graphical representation of a shooter’s target. The Target Capture System will display the target and bullet strike position to the shooter. With the use of this system, shooters will be able to eliminate unproductive time while sighting in rifles. A conveniently located target display will be viewable from the shooters location. Accessibility of target information will allow the shooter to remain in their position for extended periods. Basic Strategies The production and modifications of the Target Capture System will be based upon the demand of the consumers. The Target Capture Company will originally set out to create the reputation of efficiency and timeliness with local customers. Through the production of the first orders, experience for each division of the Target Capture Company will have been gained, and the Target Capture Company will be ready to increase the market through advertising in popular sharp shooting and hunting magazines and internet websites. The Target Capture Company will rely on these advertisements and word of mouth for the increase of demand. As the demand increases, the Target Capture Company will be able to purchase parts at bulk rates; therefore, increase in profits andTarget Capture Company Business Plan 4 employment will occur. The following strategy tree displays the base responsibilities within the company. Figure 1. Strategy Tree Financial Analysis According to the estimated revenue, accrued by the Target Capture Company, the company will make a profit in its second year. By the third year, profits will reach approximately $600,000 as shown in Graph 1. The cost may vary according to the number of personnel within the Target Capture Company. As the Target Capture Company increases sells, more employees will be hired accordingly. Graph 1.
