Reflection Narrative Paper 2 As mentioned in the question a variety of things influence an individual s attitude toward nature Each person will have a unique view on what makes a landscape essential as well as the most impactful and attractive aspects of nature Lesson 2 gave me an explanation of how America was able to build its landscape character Because of its lack of topological significance America was once seen to be inferior to Europe We did discover however that the wilderness in America allowed authors and Americans of the period to appreciate its beauty this era came to be known as the Age of Enlightenment I come from India a peninsular subcontinent in Asia The tropic of cancer passes through the middle of the country so naturally it has extremely diverse natural landscapes From the snow covered peaks of the Himalayas the beaches opening up to the Bay of Bengal on one side and the Arabian Sea on another side the Deccan Plateau in the south to the rainforests in the northeastern state So according to me one of the most important factors that influences one s views towards nature is the kind of environment they are most accustomed to being in Since I have visited many places in India I have a unique appreciation for different places Another factor which is an influence is the underlying interests of an individual One who enjoys kayaking would prefer the oceanic landscapes On the other hand one who likes spending time on the mountains would prefer hilly mountainous landscapes As a result it is argued that a person s viewpoint on nature and landscapes is influenced by a variety of elements that differ from person to person Many persons have comparable characteristics in this sense whereas others have vastly different characteristics In my instance I value many landscapes highly especially those of my own country
