Reflection Narrative Paper Week 5I have always tried to be a conscious consumer and user when it comes to sustainability. For aslong as I can remember, I have collected plastic bags from my shopping trips and used them asgarbage disposal bags. I have recently started carrying a reusable straw with me wherever I go. Ihave been fortunate enough to be brought up by parents who understand sustainability and makeactive efforts by conserving energy and using renewable forms of it. These are just a few of thelifestyle changes that I have adopted over the years.However, the grandiosity of the world and the factors affecting it are much more than my merecontributions. There are some things that I do not have control over. Like the carbon dioxideemissions made by public transports or even private transport for that matter. Like the ultimatewaste disposal mechanisms because they are beyond my control. In times like this, in mostcountries, the government tries to make conscious decisions. But that is also dependent on thekind of economy the country has. I come from India, a country that is still recognized as adeveloping country, where things like sustainability take a back seat and most of the importanceis given to industrial development.I take various measures to do my best but I also understand that it might never be enough toobjectively make the world a better place.
