EE122 Homework Set 2 1) What are some real world applications of difference amplifiers? 2) List the possible specifications for capacitors. Two are Capacitance and Tolerance. 3) Prove that the transfer function of the circuit below is: 4) Design the above circuit to have a f0 (3db) frequency of 1.59kHz and a high frequency gain of 20dB. Assume that f0 (3db) is well below the opamp’s cut off frequency. 5) Make a circuit in LTspice that verifies the VOS of the LT1001 opamp that is stated in the datasheet. 6) What is the largest input signal of a sine wave that will not saturate (clip) the output of an inverting opamp with a gain of ‐500. Include the effect of VOS. Assume the LTC1001 opamp, and 15V power supplies. 7) For the circuit below. What is the frequency range for which the Gain=(OUT/V source) is 37dB or higher? 8) Verify your results from the previous question in LTSPICE. 9) For the OPAMP you desig ned in the previous question, calculate the effect of a finite open loop gain, A=1, 10, 1000, 10,000, 100,000, and 1,000,000. Assume you are well below the opamp’s cutoff frequency. 10) Design an OPAMP circuit to implement the following function:10 100 a. Assume Ideal OPAMPS (No frequency limit) b. Assume that all input signals have a high series resistance (100k‐500kΩ). 11) Redo problem 10 except modify (If you have to.) the design to maximize the range of constant frequency while minimizing the number of parts.
