Develop a Personal Web Page Consider it’s role for you as a teacherMIT Fall 2008 Purpose- to develop your skills in creating a website. - to begin considering the ways in which you may use such a tool as a teacher. TaskFocus and Audience: Treat this webpage as a resource page for yourself. Put links on it that you are likely to repeatedly refer to as an MIT student. Consider your peers as potential audience as well – help them navigate your site and reasons for why they should explore the site (e.g. annotations to links that explain what they’ll find if they search further)WebsiteBy the end of fall quarter (i.e. Tuesday week 10) your website should contain at least:1. A photograph 2. Links to documents you have created on your computer that you would like tohave in the public space (e.g. seminar papers, resume, lesson plans, etc) 3. Links to external sites with annotations (e.g. music lesson plans, library research links, frequently visited web sites). 4. Linked email address 5. A written reflection in which you consider some ways that you might use a website as a teacher. The website should be clear and well organized.Feedback Before the end of the quarter, you will each give and receive feedback about the clarity, functionality and utility of the websites. What are some ways that other teachers use websites? Note the below websites are not model sites per se… they are ways in which some teachers are using websites in their classes and schools.
