The transition between high school and college is never easy, and typically a large leap. Balancing school with sports was always a tricky task, but now it is a whole different playing field. Practices and classes at the collegiate level has been insanely time consuming, yet rewarding as well. I believe that an academic challenge I will face will be simply being able to juggle 4 classes with football practice 6 hours a day every day except Monday. One thing I can do to alleviate this stressor is to go to the Morgan Academic Center for tutoring or a private study room to keep up with my school work or find aid. Additionally, an athletic challenge I will conquer is learning everything and acclimating to a new playing style and games that are at a much quicker pace than that of high school football. Being a first-year student is difficult at times due to learning all the plays and adapting to new coaching techniques. Coming from a small football town to now a large experienced program is daunting but also exciting. Something I can do is take advantage of the resources I have here on the coaching staff and old film. Lastly, a personal challenge I will face is the separation from my family. I now have more independence than I ever have, but that comes at the expense of me figuring out how to live on my own and them being miles away. Teenagers always say they want freedom, and independence, however once they are put to that responsibility, they become homesick. Fortunately, with now a day technology, I can always FaceTime them and ask for advice or guidance if I am ever in
