Yellow Rose of TX- After oil bust TX must look for a different way to support economy. - Once known for cotton kings and oil millionaires, TX had to diversify economy and not rely on one industry.- Now involved in agriculture, technology, biotechnology, health care, education, real estate, personal services, and energy.- TX holds 52 of 500 largest corporation headquarters. - Energy: oil, natural gas, wind farms. Exxon, Valero.- Parts of oil revenues go automatically to UT and A&M systems. - Agriculture: TX is 2nd in production of agriculture in U.S thanks to labor reducing machinery and chemicals. - Trade: North American Free Trade Agreement: Good b/c trade with Canada and Mexico.
