Criterion D: Product Design Overall Structure At the start of my presentation, I thought that keeping it simple would be the best way to do it. By keeping it simple, I would just have the key term and the definition. After looking at my multi-media presentation more closely, I realized that the PowerPoint might be a little “too simple.” Because of this, I then thought to add examples. I thought that by adding an example, the viewers, English students, would be able to more easily identify terms when they are reading literature in their English classes. The examples would help the students see how the terms are used. When I got to this point of my PowerPoint presentation, I remembered one of the key reasons I was making the presentation: making sure English students knew how to correctly pronounce the key terminology. So, I then used a microphone and the software on Microsoft PowerPoint on my personal computer to add sound clips of me saying the key terms. I recorded it and then added it to the presentation. Once I got to this point, I brought my presentation to my client, Mrs. Sturgis, to see if I was on the right path. She enjoyed the presentation but believed I was missing one thing: a visual component. After learning this, I saw that adding pictures would definitely help my presentation. It would help students, especially visual learners, remember andlearn the key terms more easily. The pictures would help the students keep a visual in their head when they were trying to remember terms on a test or other assessment in their English classes.Internal StructureResources DetailsKaplan AP English Language and Composition I used Chapter 3 of this book to get all of my terms, definitions, and examples for my presentation.www.toonclips.comwww.literaryzone.comwww.cartoonranch.comwww.bringthehope.typepad.comwww.munachi.comwww.dreamstime.comwww.cartoonstock.com I used these websites to obtain the images for my presentation.
