It was emotionally moving in many ways. The way he used his voice to empower the crowd was great. His voice was a big part of getting the overall message of his speech across. That is one thing that really stood out to me, was his voice. The setting was goodas well, the nation’s capital, where he brought all kinds of races together for one common goal. His speech was promoting peace and love, not fighting and war. He wanted us to live together and get along happily. The ethos he used in this speech was prevalent because it moved countless number of people emotionally. He used powerful words and words that all of us could understand as well. President Reagan’s speech was after the Challenger Space Craft exploded shortly after takeoff on live television for millions to watch. He explained how he was deeply saddened by the event as well as the rest of our country. He gave caring words to soothe the country and try and help us move on from such a tragedy. He explained that sometimes these things happen in the name of discovery and that it all part of the process. The way he spoke was a big part of using ethos in this speech. He was calm and caring the entire speech. When I watched it, I felt a sense of love from the President conveyed to the entire country.These two speeches were very well done in that they conveyed a powerful message usingethos and many other techniques.
