If you decide to stop coming to class, you must go to the Counseling Center in the Student Services Building and obtain a withdrawal form and go through the drop procedure. A student who stops attending or misses FIVE classes may be administratively dropped with a grade of F or W. Please talk with your teacher to verify if you have successfully dropped the course. Please read the "Drops and Withdrawals" policies on page 20 in the current catalog. GRADING: A homework average will be derived from the best 6 grades obtained from the 8 homework quizzes. Final Average = (4 major tests + homework quiz average + final exam score) / 6 GRADE IN COURSE: A (100 - 90) B (89 - 80) C (79 - 70) D (69 - 60) F (59 - 0) TESTS: There will be 4 major tests. HOMEWORK: Two homework quizzes will be given for each of the four units. You should have your completed homework with you to use on the quiz. The two lowest of the eight will be dropped for a homework quiz average. VIDEO TAPES: Free tutoring and video tapes are available in room M116.
