audiences genders and values Coca Cola has always had strong marketing and advertising skills which has made them one of the most persistent well loved brands in history John Pemberton sold his first appealing and fun through their creative and colorful advertising Coca Cola has had some of the most popular advertising campaigns through the decades Coca Cola in the 1800 s In the 1800 s Coca Cola had to do ads that appealed to the culture and style of that time Even in this period Coca Cola used beautiful women holding a coke to make the product appealing There were also famous women holding the can with style showing the drink as being the in thing to do Top artists captured culture and spirit of the times through its advertising art Coca Cola exemplified classic All American image through calendars posters and more Coca Cola also advertised their product as being delicious exhilarating refreshing and invigorating drink but added more promises that the drink is an intellectual Coca Cola in the 1900 s During the 1900 s Coca Cola relied on young women to be their spokesperson The first spokesperson to be used was a model named Hilda Clark Another image that keeps ongoing is the Santa Claus we all know today In the 1970 s most people enjoyed Coca Cola in their ice cream parlors or local soda fountain which was a place to socialize In the advertising before the 1960 s the people in the advertisement is holding a glass instead of a bottle In 1969 the slogan came about It s the real thing The advertising is now focused on the bottle itself During this era the company went global and also spread into many different flavors like Fanta and Sprite Because Coca Cola had such a fast expansion they went with a massive advertising campaign The international appeal of Coke was shared in their advertising with the slogan I d Like to Buy the World a Coke In 1971 another advertisement came out and later became a song I d Like to Teach the World to Sing by the New Seekers Coke Side of Life was launched The main theme of this campaign ad centered on if you drink a coke you will feel happy and positive The focus was around positivity and being optimistic Seeing the full color of life and encourages love of life One of Coke s most successful endeavors of today is the Happiness Machine or in some countries the Happiness Truck The Happiness Machine uses elements of both guerilla marketing and viral advertising by using You Tube Coca Cola decided to own the word Happiness Coca Cola implemented the Happiness Machine in various places and campuses like London India Germany Hungary Hong Kong and more The Happiness Truck appeared in countries like Rio de Janeiro and the Philippines Videos show the authentic happiness the people get when they receive their Coke surprise This type of outreach was a good step for Coke showing a connection to other countries These videos are reaching out to all age groups and genders in all walks of life and many different cultures Coca Cola s Happy Ending Coca Cola was born in 1886 in a tiny pharmacy Coca Cola provides happiness and magic still today through vibrant and creative advertising Nostalgia continues to be used by Coca Cola as an effective marketing and advertising strategy Almost everyone has had a Coke in their younger days so it is easy and effective to make a connection in their past with Coca Cola Coca Cola provides high end commercials for very memorable events such as the Super Bowl showing the famous Polar Bears Even today Coca Cola provides magic and happiness to all ages genders and cultures Coca Cola has expanded globally offering 500 brands and products to the world and continues to serve more than 1 7 billion servings in one day Coke has 5 more than a dozen flavors including Diet Cola Coke Zero Coke Cherry Vanilla Citra and so much more There are now over 3 500 products by Coca Cola and who knows what the future holds for this strong and dynamic company From the very beginning of Coca Cola advertising was done with pride and expertise with use of artistry and well thought out marketing and advertising strategy Coca Cola has grown from only having limited advertising available to unlimited now being able to compete with competitive markets only because of adjusting to the times and the changing marketing strategies Coca Cola is a drink that almost everyone has had both in the United States and worldwide Coca Cola is still one of the most well loved brands of today and still going strong for tomorrow Advertising depends on market culture and
