She was anti-klan, was elected in 1924, and was the first Texas female governor. She stayed in office until 1928D. “Pappy” or W. Lee O’Daniel was a flour salesman, he had no political experience and waselected governor in 1938-1945.ll.The Great Depression occurred between 1929 and 1939. In 1929 the stock market crashed and the entire nation is crushed. In 1935 Prohibition ends.lll.A. The Gulf Coastal Plains extend from Louisiana boarder and the Gulf of Mexico. It is mainly in East Texas and consists of forests.B. Interior Lowlands consist of an agriculture economy, rural population, and ranches.C. The Great Plains are in western Texas and consist of ranching and petroleum production in the northern plains. While agriculture and cotton production dominate the southern plains. The Ogallala Aquifer is a major player in the southern plains.D. The Basin and Range Province is where you’ll see the true mountains in the Guadalupe Range. Southeast is Big Bend country.
