Printing output waveforms from the Waveform Editor Before you print your waveforms ensure that the axes are clearly labeled units are marked scales are set properly and all the waveforms are labeled The Waveform Editor has a number of features to help you out Use Curves Edit to label your plots and place them in the right sequence Use Annotation Edit Title Subtitle to label your plots and add notes Use the features under Axes to trim your X axis and Y axis You must use Markers to figure out the intercept data There are a number of ways to print your output waveforms One of the methods is suggested here Choose Window Hardcopy This will open the following window Click on Send Plot Only to File Type in a filename for the saved file Disable the Mail Log To option Then choose OK Now in an xterm window go to the directory that you run cadence from e g IC CAD cadence Type lpr filename where filename is the name of the file you specified above Printing Schematics from the Virtuoso Schematic Editor Before you print your schematic you must place it within a standard sheet You will have to instance this sheet Press i or select Instance Select Library UU Sheets SheetBorders Asize in the menu below This will open a sub menu where you should select Asize Now place this sheet over your schematic You may have to zoom out before you see the entire sheet Circuits may be much smaller compared to the size of the sheet Don t worry about this Try to get the circuit in the middle of the sheet You may add text in the schematic to label your circuit Now you are ready to print Select Design Plot Submit This will open the Submit Plot window Click on Plot Options This will open up another window Set the fields as shown Most of the fields are set by default Disable the Mail Log To option Then choose OK Then click on OK on the Submit Plot window If this does not work then click on Send Plot Only to File Type in a filename for the saved file Disable the Mail Log To option Then choose OK Now in an xterm window go to the directory that you run cadence from e g IC CAD cadence Type lpr filename where filename is the name of the file you specified above This should print your schematic You may check your status in print job queue by using the lpq command
