voluntary two divisions - 1. afferent - carry info to CNS from PNS 2. efferent - carry into from CNS to PNS
Autonomic Nervous System
involuntary two divisions - 1. sympathetic - fight or flight 2. parasympathetic - feed or breed nerves that connect to the heart, blood vessels, smooth muscles, and glands
Central Nervous System
composed of the brain and spinal cord
Spinal Cord
connects the brain to the rest of the body through the peripheral nervous system part of the CNS
