In this assignment you will evaluate and contemplate how information retrieval systems vary in terms of the user interface, search features, and search techniques and how these conventions facilitate or hinder user access and information retrieval. You will be using one a Web search engine of your choosing to compare to the ERIC database provided by EBSCO. Search the topic below in two databases by completing A,B, and C. Topic: A user wants to find the latest information about using Lipitor to treat high cholesterol. One focus may be whether it reduces stroke. Another focus may be marketing the product. A third focus may be the advantages and disadvantages of the product. Choosethe aspect(s) you prefer. A. Access to ERIC Conduct the search in the ERIC database (1966+) provided by EBSCO through Hodge's Webpage. 1. Read the instructions about how to use ERIC by viewing the help file or search tips. 2.
