In Summary VII. PPVT-4 Results VIII. Consider the Following Scores Outline of Current Lecture I. Bell Curve Theory Revisited-Score Interpretation PracticeII. GFTA Response Form III. Score Interpretation Process IV. Julia’s Sound Production ErrorsV. Testing Considerations Current LectureI. Bell Curve Theory Revisited-Score Interpretation Practice - Goldman Fristoe Test of Articulation (GFTA)- Julia, 2 years 5 months - During the video (15 min):o 2 levels for recording responses: Level 1: Presence of error - If sound produced correctly, leave cell BLANK of use check mark - If sound produced in error, put an “X” in the cell *Level 2: Presence and type of erroro E.g., Write IPA symbol for substituted sound II. GFTA Response Form - Letters with numbers above it are “Target Sounds” - Watch your notation carefully (you may cross letter out and write substitution above it) - If they do not produce the target word, do not count it III. Score Interpretation Process - After the video:o Compute raw score (total number of articulation errors): Count number of negatives in far right columno Raw score between 0 and 77 o Convert raw score to standard score and percentile rank using GFTA’s normative table o Make sure to use appropriate gender column  Count up the negatives = 17  Raw score = 17 (in female column)- Standard Score = 114 - 90% Confidence Level=109-119- 95% Confidence Level = 108-120 - Percentile=86VI. Julia’s Sound Production Errors - /l /- /r/ - /tʃ/ “ch”- /θ/ “th”- /ð/ “th”- Consonant blends: /bl, br, dr, gl, tr/VII. Testing Considerations - Testing strategieso What cues/prompts did the clinician use?o Did cues/prompts were most helpful for Julia?o Environment - Critical Analysis of Assessmento Failed to administer 1 test item (“knife”)o Reinforced incorrect production of “tree” (/kri/)o Accepted distorted productions for two items (“orange” and “quack”)o Didn’t produce target word (“swim” vs. target “swimming”)o Missed item
