It is when grandparents are raising and taking care of their children’s children (their grandchildren) because their children may not be able to raise them. This can be a very challenging but rewarding concept.III. Types of Grandparents- Traditional- Fun-seeker: always wanting to take their grandchildren places (the zoo, the mall, the beach, etc.)- Surrogate: when they fill in for their grandchildren’s parentsThese notes represent a detailed interpretation of the professor’s lecture. Widows and WidowersWomen experience more grief than men, but men are more depressed than women. Widows (females) are less likely to get remarried than widowers (males).
