It is replacing marriage as the first living-together experience. One half of all brides have lived together with a boyfriend before getting married. The majority of students responded to a survey saying they would live with their partners before marriage.a. Disadvantages- Might get comfortable and avoid marriage- Makes it easier for a partner to walk out- Accumulation of property (who gets what)- More likely to experience negative attitudes from their partner about marriage/children and more likely to see divorce as a solution- Females suffer the most loss during break ups- “Thrill” of honeymoon is gone- Cohabitation isn’t like marriage, not much of a testIV.
