Set the Standard dimensioning style to the following parametersCAD ApplicationsAssignment #11CDIMENSIONINGObjective:The student will construct a complete orthographic drawing of an assigned problem including geometric dimensions and tolerancing using the CAD system. Assignment:Complete the assigned orthographic drawing problem by adding dimensions according to the given parameters below. Copy the file EDD12142.DWG to your WORKING DISK.Create a layer for the dimensions with a color of the student's own selection. Be sure to include this layer on the CAD Drawing Document Sheet.Set the Standard dimensioning style to the following parametersIn the Annotation ribbon select the Style option and create two new dimension styles. Make this style current. Record the new dimension styles on the CAD Drawing Document sheet. In the Lines section: Set the Baseline Spacing for 0.25 Set the Extend Beyond Dim Lines value to 0.125 Set the Offset from origin value to 0.0625In the Symbols and Arrows section: (Choose an arrowhead style) Set the Arrow Size to 0.125 Set the center marks to NoneIn the Text Section: Set the Text height value to 0.125 Set Vertical to "centered." Set the Horizontal to "centered." Set the text alignment to "Horizontal" Set to draw frame around text for one dimension styleIn the Fit Section: Set the fit to "either the text or the arrows, whichever fits best"  Set to “Beside the Dimension Line”In the Primary Units Section: Set the Unit Format to Decimal Set the Precision to 0.000Apply the given dimensions, and the geometric dimensioning and tolerancing using the Annotation ribbon.Use the Tolerance (TOL) command in the Annotation ribbon to display the Geometric Tolerance dialog box. Set the geometric dimensioning and tolerance symbols and feature control frames to the desired specifications andadd to the drawing.1CAD ApplicationsAssignment #11CUse the QLEADER (LE) command to place the datum identifiers. Type settings to access the Leader Settings dialog box. In the Annotation tab set the annotation type to Tolerance. In the Leader Line & Arrow tab set the arrowhad to Datum triangle filled.Create a separate dimensioning style to draw the basic dimensions. In the “Text” option select “Draw frame around dimension” to add the frame around the dimension text.Use the Override option to set the parameters for any other unique dimension specification.Dimensioning will be in accordance with the rules and techniques as described in the textbook Engineering Graphics. Review dimension text locations and dimension line spacing.Add dimensions to the drawing using the CAD terminal. Space the first dimension line 3/8" from the object and 1/4" for all successive dimensions.Use GRIPS to reposition dimension text if necessary to avoid stacking.Set the Linear Dimension command to either BASELINE or CONTINUE as needed.Plot the finished drawing.Evaluation:¨ Refer to the PROJECT EVALUATION handout for the required items to be turned in for evaluation.Vocabulary:TOLERANCE (TOL) QLEADER
