Course Description:UPP 594, Water Resources Planning, will examine how surface- and ground-water resources are assessed, used and managed in the U.S., with special emphasis on issues arising in the Chicago metro region. The course will employ a natural resource-based (i.e., aquifer and watershed) perspective, focusing on the development and implementation of water resources programs affecting both water quality and quantity.
