April 25, 2013Objective Reality, Male Reality, and Social ConstructionBy: Sally Haslanger1. Discursive construction is more like a script because it has very strict criteria one must abide by to be considered “in”.2. We are all a special kind of artifact because we are all a social construction; either by attribution of others or of self-attribution.3. To be pragmatically constructed something must be catagorized by thoughts/ideas of people. Strong pragmatic construction is when something has a purpose just because it’s what a person designates it to be for whatever reason. (MAY NOT BE CORRECTLY WORDED)4. The real/unreal distinction is a weak pragmatic construction because it can be viewed either wayby people depending on what they believe; it is not just categorized into one or the other. 5.
