Alexander Ellison Favorite thing learned this year PSYC 2000 In my opinion my favorite thing I learned this year was less than what we did in class and more of what we did outside of class The research requirements were very fun and interesting and I learned a great deal from participating in those But other than that my favorite section from the book was definitely social psychology The study of how we all function in every day activity was my favorite part I especially liked learning about Attribution More specifically the situational vs dispositional causes I feel that this was very interesting mainly because we saw it in every day society It was interesting to learn about that our everyday interactions actually had definitions behind them Such as cognitive dissonance or most prejudices I am glad we went over the brown eyed blue eyed discussion A while back we went over this in a high school class of mine and it was easily the most interesting thing I had done in that entire year It was so interesting how prejudices could be so easily formed even in innocent little elementary school students The bystander affect was also very interesting The fact that we kept going over these things in class and my brain kept pulling out situations where they had occurred was most definitely my favorite part of the course While all of this was good my least favorite section in the book was the biology part I feel that most people are going to put this down as well Mainly because we covered so much in such a short amount of time and all it is is just memorization which isn t fun The majority of the other concepts we learned you could apply to your everyday life which made them easier to remember or create little gimmicks for The biology section was pure memorization Other than that the majority of the class was very fun and interesting and I highly recommend reusing what you did over again for other classes
