For me, helping people is more than just a job, but it is also a rewarding sensation of knowing I made someone happy. I feel the best about myself when I am able to direct my attention to the needs of others. Whether they remember me the next day or forget me in five minutes, the gratification I get from the beam on their face remains with me forever. The nature of my personality speaks a lot about my character as a person; always willing and eager to contribute as much as I can. For many of reasons, I know being a nurse is what I am called to do. Another integral trait of a successful nurse is patience. Patience is a key to overcoming misunderstandings, and it helps patients and teammates feel encouraged by good decisions. I am excited to learn as much as possible, and then continuing on to teach others what I know. More than just a professional success, I hope nursing is a personal success as well.I have set a few goals for myself in order to propel me forward in this career. On short-term scale, I hope to get exposed to as many medical treatments and areas as possible. This will help me expand my scope of knowledge and narrow my field of interest. My long-term goal is to commit myself to a lifelong journey of learning and serving others. It would be an honor for me to give back to those who need it and this will give me the assurance to know why I do what I
