(Charlie Bloom carries his daughter, Annabelle, into the emergency room. Doctor Hill andDoctor Burke try to calm him and his wife, Lily, down while discussing the next steps)LILY(yelling) Doctor, HELP! My daughter… she’s been hit by a car… please… SOMEONE!(Doctor Burke and Doctor Hill rush over)DOCTOR HILLAlright, calm down mam. We are going to take perfect care of your daughter. Now walk with meand do exactly as I say. (yells to a group of nurses standing nearby) Someone order me a CT scanfor…. (Back to Lily) what’s your daughters name?LILYAnnabelle. Her name is Annabelle BloomDOCTOR HILL(to nurses) Annabelle Bloom. Order me a CT scan for Annabelle Bloom now! (To Charlie who isholding Annabelle in his arms) Alright Mr. Bloom I am going to need you to carefully lay her onthis bed. (Charlie Bloom begins to lay her on the bed) Easy… slowly… there you go. (nurses take Annabelle away for the CT scan)CHARLIE(weeping) She was just playing that’s all. She must have not looked or something, we alwaysremind her to look. She ran right out in front of a car. It’s a crazything; they come to you and would have properly transported your daughter. LILY(Speaks before Charlie can) Oh we just live right down the road, figured we could get her herefaster than some ambulance. (Doctor Hill nods, not amused) Now, what’s going to happen to ourlittle girl? DOCTOR HILLWe will just need to wait for the CT scan, which will tell us what to do next. In the meantime Ineed you two to calm down!! Now, come with me so we can fill out some paperwork. CHARLIEDon’t even know who hit her. Boy, if I found them I would ring their neck.
