We learn to control the Id by the ego Superego: Conscious about the right and wrong (culture within), norms explain why one cant always have what is wanted The Id and Superego are always in constant combat and he Ego is balancing both Freud's major contributions to sociology= Internalization of social norms as the Superego, childhood
