I. State of the Union:a. Longest applause was for his statement that American troops will be out of Iraq and Afghanistan, with the exception of perhaps a small task force, within a yearb. Throughout history, no one has been able to conquer Afghanistani. Difficulty lies in negotiations with all the tribal chiefsii. At one time they had a king, but he mostly paid off the chiefsII. What is our new blueprint?a. The way we do foreign aid; let’s actually be smart about iti. Don’t forget about Africaii.
