MTE 494 GSP LAB 10 12 10 14 Creating dynamic diagrams and using the Trace and Locus features of GSP In a recent class you were shown a GSP sketch featuring a dynamic simulation involving a diagram that modeled a quantitative situation i e the A Frame Barn The simulation was linked to a Cartesian graph that captured a relationship of variation between quantities depicted in the diagram This lab lesson will provide you with an opportunity to learn the basics of making such sketches and to learn some features of GSP that can be particularly useful in teaching We will do this by working through two examples Example 1 10 12 Creating a triangle and graphing the relationship between two attributes See the sequence of steps starting on page 7 of the accompanying handout Example 2 10 14 Using GSP s graphing utility
