Johannes Brahms was one of the greatestmusicians of the late 1800’s. Johannes wasknown to be the great master of symphonicand sonata style in the second half of the19th century. When Brahms was 20 he met famouscomposers Franz Liszt and Robert Schumann.Schumann was so impressed with Brahms'music that he wrote an article for a musicjournal that made Brahms famous. Brahms'success was also due to his hard work and hiscritical attitude toward his own music. Henever felt he could live up to the standard setby Ludwig van Beethoven. In result of Brahms’s and his quite boldexploration of harmony and rhythm he washighly looked upon. He was a big influence oncomposers of both conservative andmodernist tendencies. In the lifetime ofJohannes’s he had made a huge impact onseveral composers and some being within hisown circle. Heinrich von Herzogenberg, RobertFuchs, and Julius Röntgen, all learned muchfrom Brahms's musical examples and reallyloved the certain style in which he broughtabout. His most important work include foursymphonies, two piano concertos, one violinconcerto, a requiem, chamber music, pianomusic, and solo songs with the piano accompaniment.
