Johannes BrahmsBorn: May 07, 1833 – Hamburg, Germany Death:April 03, 1897 – Vienna, AustriaIntroduction:Johannes Brahms was one of thegreatest musicians of the late1800’s. His most important workinclude four symphonies, twopiano concertos, one violinconcerto, a requiem, chambermusic, piano music, and solosongs with the pianoaccompaniment. His musicshowed a lot of traits of Romantic Movement,through its organization of elements into a classicalorder.How he got became famous: When Brahms was 20 he met famous composersFranz Liszt and Robert Schumann. Schumann was soimpressed with Brahms' music that he wrote anarticle for a music journal that made Brahmsfamous. Brahms' success was also due to his hardwork and his critical attitude toward his own music.He never felt he could live up to the standard set byLudwig van Beethoven.Important facts:- Johannes was known to be the great master of symphonic and sonata style in the second half of the 19th century- Brahms happened to be one of the few music composers who completely devote his life to composing without the need to accept any other
