Body-Main Points: Include two main points with two sub-pointsie. first point: history of a bow tie-sub point: bow ties have a lot of historysecond point: how to tie a bow tie-sub point: bow ties are very easy to tie regardless to popular belief4. Conclusion-Restate the thesis: Remind the audience of the speeches purpose-Review Statement: Today I discussed the history of the bow tie, demonstrated how to tie a bow tie, and finished with showing pictures of celebrities who rock a bow tie.• Solid Introduction Aspects-The introduction is used as the first impression, to secure audiences attention, set the tone of the speech, increase audiences willingness to receive your message.1. Attention Getting Device: Begin with a quote, interesting fact, definition, joke2. Link to Topic: the “transition” from your AGD to your topic3. Signifiant Statement: The first statement giving your audience an immediate idea to the topic of the speech4. Source: Cite a fact from a credible source that gives your speech credibility and substance5. Thesis Statement: stating your topic, general purpose, and specific purposeThese notes represent a detailed interpretation of the professor’s lecture.
